KEE-n-SERT - Key Locking Thread Inserts

Keenserts** are threaded  inserts for OEM and thread repair that provide positive mechanical locking into the parent material by means of external "keys" that are knocked down into the host metal.

Trademark

KEENSERT type inserts have standard ISO Metric, UNC or UNF external threads. This means that KEENSERTS don't need special tooling.  They are simply installed using standard drills and taps.

Keensert miniature threaded sizes  come in sizes from 2mm to 4mm  and in inch sizes from #2 [2 gauge] to #8 [8 gauge]

Keensert Type Miniature Inserts (Kee-n-SertTM brand) Are available in UNC sizes  #2-56;  #4-40;  #6-32  &  #8-32 and in METRIC sizes M2x0.4;  M2.5x0.45;  M3x 0.5  &  M4x0.7.  They can come with either "free running" or "locking" internal threads in most sizes.

Keensert Type Lightweight Inserts (Kee-n-Sert brand) Come in sizes from 5mm to 12mm and #10 to 1/2" UNC and UNF and have a relatively thin wall.

Keensert lightweight style threaded inserts come in sizes 5mm to 12mm and Inch from #10 [10 gauge] to 1/2"

Keensert heavy duty inserts come in sizes from 4mm to 24mm and in inch sizes from #8 [8 gauge] to 1-1/2"

Keensert Type Heavy Duty Inserts (Kee-n-Sert brand) Come in sizes from 4mm to 24mm and in UNC from #8-32 to 1-1/2" or in UNF from #10-32 to 1".  They have a thicker wall than the Lightweight series.

Keensert Fitting Tool - (Kee-n-SertTM Brand) Keenserts can be fitted by hand using  a hammer as the only tool.  A fitting tool is optional and the main advantage of using it is that it prevents the pins from bending over and misaligning during  the final operation to knock them down into the parent material.

Keensert power fitting tools as well as the manual type illustrated are available. You can even fit Keenserts using only a hammer.

NOTE: Kee-n-SertTM Brand inserts are generally supplied as Industrial Spec. grade but can be supplied in Milspec grade and with Certificates of Conformity on special order.
